My husband, David, and I were married June 11, 1976.

We bought our 1st house in 1980 in Hendersonville.
In 1986 we moved to the Long Hollow Pike area and have been there since.
In 1987 I went to church at The Hendersonville Chapel and re-committed my life
to my Lord, Jesus Christ. David did the same and was baptized as well. We
changed our life style to be more obedient to God’s will for our lives.
We bought the
house we live in now, in 1991. It was a blessing to have the 4000
square feet with 3 teenagers!
In 2003, we remodeled our
guest room and bath room to meet the needs of my
birthing families. Since 1998, we have had over 50 babies born at our house!
Jill married to Wasey Ryder
Jill home schools her 2 children and is a Creative Memories consultant.
Wasey is a regional sales rep. for Sherwin Williams automotive paint.
Jeremy married Shelley Purcell
Jeremy is an IT consultant.
Shelley takes care of and updates my web site. (and her 4 children too!)
Jennifer married Jason Meadows
Jennifer attends births with me and helps Jay do photography.
Jay is a photographer.
David works with his dad and brother in a family
produce company. They buy and
sell fruits and veggies to stores, vendors and restaurants.

Now that all our children are grown and married, David and I enjoy riding
together on his Harley. We’ve taken a 3000 mile trip to
New England and a cross
country ride back from the Grand Canyon. He is learning to do without me more as
my midwifery calling gets busier. We try to get away as often as we can, either
a short ride on the bike, a weekend to Gatlinburg or a camping trip.
