Blessings 2005
Thank you to the following 43 babies and their families for having us be a part of their Birth Days: Adrian, Ethan Lee, Ethan Curtis, Cole, Johnson, Aiden, Jaxon, Jackson, Johnny Jones, Joseph, Joshua, Caleb, Langston, Ivan, Christian, Coen, Joel, Elijah, Lily, Serena, Erin, Sophia, Julie, Alaura, Kate, Anna, Matilda, Carolyn, Carly, Christiana, Caroline, Jacqueline, McKenna, Leah, Virginia, Jaden, Rachael, Grace, Isabella, Hannah, Abigail Rose, Abigail Jewell, and Sierra. That’s 18 boys and 25 girls.
Our love and prayers also go to the Beachy’s for the loss of Jackson, their precious little one, who went to be with the Lord after a long struggle. He is at peace now, but is missed greatly by everyone who loved him.
Our biggest baby for 2005 was 10 lb. 12 oz. The smallest baby born at home weighed in at 5 lb. 15 oz. From 12/9/04 to 12/9/05 we only had girls born at our house, 12 in a row! The most unusual birth of the year was in the car at the Tennessee welcome center. That was our first “car” birth. We also had our first breech birth this year. It was a surprise, but all the teaching I’ve done in Kenya came to mind and it was a very easy delivery. The Lord is faithful and looks out for us! 13 were first homebirths, 6 more were first babies.
The year started off with Jennifer and I in school. She finished her LPN program and is now a licensed Nurse. I finished Emergency Medical Technician school and am now a licensed EMT-IV. Hallelujah! Jennifer met the love of her life, Jason, before I went to Kenya and started planning a January wedding. I took my other daughter, Jill with me to Africa and we had a wonderful Mother/Daughter time. I got a brown recluse spider bite when we got home. My daughter (in-law) gave birth to our 6th grandchild, (2nd grand-daughter) Isabella Faith, in November. Shannon helped me this year and is expecting baby # 6 any minute!
My husband and I are planning a trip on the Harley to the Grand Canyon in July this year. We may also go to Kenya for our “son’s” wedding. I expect that Jennifer will be expecting this year as well. They are praying for twins! I am hoping I can get my web site updated with some new birth stories and photos (hint, hint). You are all a blessing to us and we pray God’s blessings on your families as they continue to grow!
Blessings,
Kathy, Jennifer, and Shannon
