Pre-1998

• Worked labor and delivery as a scrub technician for 2 months in 1976
• I was responsible for setting up sterile instrument table and handing instruments to the doctor.
• I also assisting with suturing.
• I also recovered the patient and cleaned up the delivery room and instruments.
• I watched 1 c-section at that hospital and attended many births with the mothers anesthetized.
• Attended 8 hospital births as labor support.
• In 1997 I assisted with 2 births at the Tennessee Birth Place.

1998

• Attended 31 births (17 girls 14 boys)
• 9 were water births, 4 hospital births as a doula.
• 10 were first babies.
• I observed 1 c-section.
• Smallest baby was 5lbs. 11oz., Biggest was 10lbs 4oz.

• Attended 23 births (13 boys and 10 girls).

• First set of twins.

2000

• Attended 17 births (6 girls and 11 boys).
• I attended 4 hospital births as a doula.
• I had 2 water births and 1 baby born in the caul.
• Smallest baby was 6lbs. biggest baby was 11lbs. 7oz.

2001

• I attended 19 births (9 girls and 10 boys).
• A first baby was born in the veil.
• 7 of these were first homebirths, 3 were water births, 1 VBAC.
• Smallest baby was 5lbs. 8oz., biggest was 10lbs. 3oz.

2002

• Ten were repeat clients of ours
• 2 Water Births and 1 VBAC
• The longest labor in 2003 was 19 hours and 55 minutes ( yes, it was a first baby)
• The shortest labor was 34 minutes from the first contraction
• Smallest baby was 6lbs. 12oz., biggest was 11lbs. 4oz.

• Our smallest baby born at home this year was 7 lb. 6 oz. and the largest baby was 11 lb. 3 oz.

• We had 5 waterbirths and 1 VBAC

• First car birth (Tennessee Welcome Center)
• From 12/9/04 to 12/9/05 we only had girls born at our house, 12 in a row!

• Our average weight for the year was 8 lb. 5 oz.

• Shortest labor was 1 hour

• Longest labor was 25 hours

• We had our first set of twins born at home in November, 9lb. each
